    (2 items)

I bought this item last night at an auction. I gambled on this a bit, using my judgment to determine that this is authentic, and hand-signed by Alice Cooper. There was a $135 reserve on it, and I was able to ask the owner a few questions. She paid hundreds of dollars for this, and she bought it with a Certificate of Authenticity. She did not bring the COA with her to the auction, but said she has it at her house. She is going to try to find it, and get it to me. Based on the other items she was selling at the auction, I felt comfortable. Everything she sold was high-quality, high-dollar, and genuine, as far as I could tell. This lithograph is numbered "367/690". I put pics of the autograph, the numbering, and some sort of stickers (2 of them) on the back, which may or may not be important. One sticker says that this is an "Authorized Collectible from Musicom International, Inc." The other sticker just congratulates me on owning a Musicom collectible, and offers advice on how to hang, clean, and preserve it. Other than one small spot on the back where something pushed into the paper backing a little (not in any part of the image at all, it would be behind the border. but doesn't affect anything at all. very inconsequential), this thing is MINT! Not a defect or blemish anywhere that I can see. I would like to know a few things: does this signature look genuine? What is this image from-album cover maybe? approximate age? approximate VALUE? Importance of the numbers in relation to value (367 of 690). I need to know this info considering both whether I have the COA, or whether she cannot find it, and I end up not having the COA. Also, how easy would it be for me to have this authenticated if she does not locate it? Thanks so much for any help you can give me! This is the second item I listed today, both of which I bought at the same auction, and both were owned by the same lady.

This was the cover of Alice's "Welcome to my Nightmare" album. In my opinion, it is the most graphically designed of all his albums and a GREAT piece!

I myself am a huge Cooper fan having seen dozens of his earlier shows. Alice Cooper is credited for bringing make-up to the Rock & Roll stage, as he was the first to do it.

When you see an Alice Cooper show live, you are in for an experience, as he is the ONLY rock star to give the audience a true theatrical stage performance complete with various costume changes, props, and of course the grand finale of him killing himself on stage in such devices as an electric chair, guillotine, or even being hanged. Even if one doesn't care for his music, they are sure to enjoy his live shows; A true performer!

And that signature looks right to me, I have a few things signed by Alice and his signature is very distinct, so it looks correct. As far as value, I have seen MANY of these "Nightmare" lithographs for sale but not too many that were signed. The unsigned ones usually sell for between $150 - $300. Alice Cooper's signature is not worth that much money due to him still being alive and signing everything. I would maybe value his signature at $100 over the value of this lithograph alone. However, and as in all collectibles, it is only worth what someone is worth paying for it. I hope I have been of some help. Enjoy the piece.
