No more than an inch to inch and a half long. Just curious what they're made of. Any help is appreciated. Added pic of the matching pendant. Was bought at flea market between 72-76 by wife's mother. Was hoping the pendant would help. Wife thinks it's a set. But I don't think so. Hope the two new pics help. Thanks guys
My wife has a pendant that has a black line, long then one small black line in back right next to it. It is a set. The pendant is of a seven point buck. The saying goes ( could be apocryphal) that it is or they're made of whale bone. Which I find hard to believe given the legality. But these are fairly old. One can tell. The trees feel etched or carved. The seven point buck not so much. Pics up tomorrow. Thanks guys
Or scrimshaw, to be more appropriate. I apologize.
The back of seven point buck pendant should provide more clues. Get them up tmrw. Thanks for response. I was just curious if the legend was true lol. And she says they're a set. Though I find it hard to believe that they "match"...
Really nothing Valentino. I question the validity of the scrimshaw. But the earrings almost feel hand etched. And the pendant makes me think twice and does look like some sort of bone
You can't see on pendant but has a makers initials of BW on it. Do not know if that helps. Wife and I know nothing of the stuff. I just love vintage so was curious if you guys here had Info. That's all. Thanks guys
