Just found it today while picking up litter! Has n©37 on lower side- is it a 1937 bottle? Is it common for the city- "ST. LOUIS MO." to be straight across? Anyone know which company made the bottle? Thank you :)
And yes, also has "MIN. CONTENTS 6-FL OZS." on bottle, approx 7 3/4 inches tall. I guess Chattanooga Bottling Co?
The C in circle IS Chattanooga Glass Co.
Ok- thanks. Can the date be confirmed, or why the lettering is not circular? Thanks for your time.
Yes, date 1937 - the 37 to the right of the © is the date code - I don't know?? about the bottom emboss, all mine of that era are circular - but I don't have a St. Louis one
Thank you! I have searched high and low, and all the St. Louis and other cities are "arched" at the top, with some of the state initials straight across. It's also nearly the last year of the "Christmas Coke Bottle" with the 1923 Pat date. Funny, I have driven on this road- as well as my family, for the past 25 years, out in a rural area. In fact the road has changed over the years. But I went out before all the leaves came on, and picked up a big bag of cans and trash, and just saw the bottle sitting near a bush about 20 feet off the road, half filled with dirt. Threw it in the bag and dragged it home... imagine my surprise that its been laying there for 77 years! :)
