This planter is still made and reproduced by Gladding McBean today, but i wasn't able to find a price nor for when they began to sell them. it's a very beautiful, extremely heavy planter. i really like it alot. This type of pottery isn't at all like the dinnerware and indoor pottery they made under the franciscan name. it's super heavy-duty.

Originally produced circa 1908-24 with the #60 shape designation. Also found it in a 1932 catalog, also shape #60, but in a gloss glaze.

I wasn't able to find anything similar shown on the inventory shown at:
      http://www.gladdingmcbean.com/garden_pottery/planters_vases.html

I'm about 80% certain your piece would date circa 1908-24. A very nice find!

thank you very much art.pottery! i agree w/ you that mine is an older one, but you can see one just like it in the current inventory if you scroll down through the planters - the 7th row down has a #60 just like this one. i don't know where to find the prices though. thanks again for your feedback.
