This one has me puzzled. Large item, 6.3cms across, lovely textured finish. It reminds me of Jensen pieces, better quality finish, lovely scrolling floral Skonvirke - esque, makes me think that this piece is Scandinavian, but the "handmade" makes me think more mid 2oth American, like Corocraft or similar. There is a heavy indented punch mark which might not be a hallmark stamp at all, the PP mark with swimming bird, together with a stamp mark which is very rubbed but appears to be a C, within a scrolling base cartouche.
Help and/or advice and/or "ooh pretty" welcomed.
Ooh, pretty! ;-))
Will search tomorow and give a link to maker's mark page! Think I saw this mark on it.
Roycroft send me a link on my last post, very complete!!!
Your brooch is from Carl Poul Petersen, Canadian master studied with Jensen .

Ha! There you go. I though same thing; feels Scandi but looks American. Can't get much closer! Nice work kyrantango (& Rocrofter).
oh, Canadian, ey?
Thank you so much Roycroft and Kyra. My Canadian hockey-nut friend will be rather jealous I think that I have something made by the person who made the Stanley cup :D I might have to let her have it...
