Carlos's boxes in the cellar are real treasure trunks! You open a box and there's a dozen design treasures you had never ever heard of, such as this amazing bird shaped vase made in Italy in the early 1950s.

Looking for information on S.I.C. online one finds out that S.I.C. (which stands for Scuola Italiana Ceramiche) is active at Casale Monferrato (a town in the Italian Piamonte, close to the city od Alessandria) from the early years after WWII. In 1952 the young Nino Caruso, one of the best Italian ceramic artists of today, worked for them while doing his military service in the town.

I wrote Caruso about this vase and he answered it wasn't one of his vases, but it really looks a lot like his work from 1954, so my guess is that this kind of vase was made at S.I.C. around thhe time.

It stands around 35 cm tall.

I thought the purpose of Dublin was to work on your beer drinking skills? No? :))

Precisely... so sad i didn't pass the test! LOL LOL LOL

But i found a new beer that I ABSOLUTELY love: O'Hara Nitro, an amazing and strong red Irish :) They also have a stout but couldn't find it on draught.
