This is a new addition to my sterling pin collection. I found an ad for this pin from the 1940's. If I remember correctly, the ad stated that the pins were sold as a group of three for $3.00. I paid a bit more for one. Factoring in the inflation, I didn't do too bad.
When I looked closer at the pin, I realized that originally it might have had a gold-wash. There is very little left now.
Thanks for looking:)
Thanks, Moonstonelover21:)
I have a lot of horse pins...that are laying around....in sterling..... don't know what to do with them...lol
Well, I got the pin because it was made by Coro, not because of the horse. I guess, my little pin will have the same faith as yours - just spending time in a drawer and dreaming to adore one day a sweater:)
Thanks a lot, aghcollect, PhilDavidAlexanderMorris, nutsabotas6, and geo26e:)
I love how its stylised
Very nice, is it the New York based firm that at the time in the 1940's worked together with Hector Aguilar? It's not made in Mexico because it would say but I think the design shows mexican influense. Lovely.
Elisabethan, you are correct about some of their pieces being made in Mexico. I don't have any in my collection but I have seen them on line.

Thanks, Newtimes:)
