Found this Pressed Glass item in my "Stored" stuff. I had put it away many years ago because I couldn't figure out what it was and who could have made it. It is quite big at 7 1/2" tall by 8" (from handle to handle) and made in a 4-piece mold. Tallcakes! have you ever seen this thing before? Anyone out there recognize it? The closest I have found is the Cascade and the Swirl patterns, both by Fostoria Glass Company. Thanks everyone, RER(BOB)

doesn't seem to match either Cascade or Colony by Fostoria; another Fostoria swirl pattern is Croton that doesn't look like a match. I looked thru pages of EAPG swirl patterns and didn't see an exact match. It did look a bit close to a goblet with the layered swirls like this but the shorter bottom swirls seemed to go opposite direction of the longer top swirls; that one was called Right Swirl but no maker. Did you happen to check it under black light?
Hi TallCakes! Thanks for your input! I just put it to the blacklight test and it glows green (see photo added). Does this suggest that it's older than the Fostoria patterns. Could it be European? BOB
the green is consistent with EAPG era glass containing manganese. However, Fostoria also has some newer glass that has the green glow as well; I have Coin and Colony salvers with similar glow. I'd guess that European is a possibility.
yes, the Green Glow is NOT of the bright uranium glow but rather a glow of Manganese.
It gives off a soft, soft green glow if manganese in it

Hi TallCakes! I looked around the net and I see that it could certainly be by Baccarat but I haven't been able to find this exact handled item. I suspected that it could be European. Thanks for the lead. BOB
I looked the the 1916 catalog and didn't see this handled piece but the toothpick holder is a match.
I agree Baccarat is the probable maker of this vase. It could be a toothpick holder for elephant teeth. Thanks again. BOB

never seen bambous tors pattern your piece i believe to be a celery they did many things in this pattern by Edward Moore cream jugs sugar bowl etc i,ve seen pattern drawings in a publication by Jenny Thompson the identification of english pressed glass 1842-1908 hope this helps BOB
