Curious what it was used for
    Has a screw on cap
    Can is 31" tall
On the cap it says j.schmil or schmh Paris tours

Guessing it was used for alcohol?

This one is easy, it is a road kill can. You can identify them quickly because they are always on their side so nobody can see them or read the information on them. They are pretty common on here. The originals sat upright and people could identify them.

      How is that possible?
It has a tiny screw cap

Actually the smaller cap was only a vent to allow air in after a bung was installed about an inch or two above the bottom. The vent was vital to drain it. Most I have seen were used for moonshine back during the depression.

This may be super valuable because the feds took most of them away and destroyed them. This may be rare because moonshine runners threw these out when they were being chased. That is why they are called road kill.

I just found the exact same jug being sold by a company in Texas
They say it's a lavender oil jug from France

During the depression and prohibition you couldn't label a jug with moonshine or whiskey. I still think this is road kill and not labeled to mislead the feds. Every one I have ever seen were laying on their side just like this one.
