Seller's photos. Studio stoneware vase in earthy red, orange and graphite with sculptural indentations and applied handles. The piece has an artist's chop mark with the initials "AR". The vase is 7.25" high by 6.5" diameter. Any help in identifying the maker would be appreciated.

Antiquerose - thanks for the input. I'll contact them to see.
VO, I know -zero about pottery. I certainly don't want to get your hopes up, but it's always best to be certain you don't miss the boat.
There is a well-known potter, Adelaide Alsop Robineau (American 1865–1929), who signed her work with "AR" in a circle. This is the only photo of her mark I could find but isn't a great representation.

I suggest you send photos to Rago Arts and Auction Center to get a free auction estimate (only auction sales I found are through Rago). They will be able to determine if it is by Robineau. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose but 10 minutes of your time. :-)

antiquerose, great find on another possibility.
Hi solver,
Thanks so much for your time & input. I am very familiar with the work of Adelaide Alsop Robineau and owned a vase by her in the distant past (sold it to Dave Rago). I'm sure it is not her work. I believe this is likely a Mid-Century Modern pot. Best regards
I love everything about this beautiful vase!...:-)
Thanks so much Penny
