    A majolica fish gurgle jug made in England around the 1880s , this jug is very detailed and brilliantly hand painted in the dark green bluey whites and browns with the inside in a mauve/pink , the fish tail curling up to make the handle & leaf pattern make the base..
    this one is marked on the bottom '4' & a signature HB on the base rim pictured which according to anything ive read is quite rare ..
    It looks like a cod ??
    Any info about this type of majolica is greatfully recieved;-)

      A Continental majolica jug modelled as a fish c 1900 ..high $360-420 [t] MLL AS of 2002 pottery. .they made one that looks like pig ...I do belive all so mallard duck ..I tired to make a box mark up there 4 covers lol

      Thanx for that info, the info that I wrote was from a dealer website that I copied, + ones on ebay with a similar write up ..none with initials though so you may be right with this ;-)
