This is an old Singer Sewing machine that I came back accrossed while going through my spare room, and it still works perfectly. That metal plate with design on it is on the sewing machine, almost right above/over where the sewing needle is. I had the numbers and all written down off it (on piece of paper in my truck, but looked quickly and didn't see it, so i could write them down in this posting. maybe later or tomorrow :) But I don't believe anything told me the exact or approx year it was made and any other info that i'm surely interested in :) Thx
Thank you for loving this sewing machine Agh & Vetraio. y'all wouldn't happen to know anything about it, would u?
Definitely 20th Century, maybe 1940s-50s? If the body is aluminium it might be a "Featherweight".
There is lots of resources on the net to trace these, particularly if you have a serial number.
Try these to start:

thx for the loves Blunder, Geo & Racer & Racer, thanks for your comment, I'll look at it asap
racer, from what i can tell from the bottom site, it is a 222K
with an egyptian type plate on the front/side
Glad you could ID it. Date?
If I remember correctly the dating is in the 30s or 40s. I need to check it out again haha. I slept after checking the site so I forgot alittle. Haha
It was introduced in 1933 then several changes until 1953. So I'm going to need to have a look-see at the badge on front etc etc to find out which one it may be. 221K or 222K :)
Singer 221 aka Featherweight. The 222 is the free-arm version. The 221K was made right through to the 70's but this one is pre-1951. The serial number is stamped into the underside edge at the bobbin end
Picked up one of these Featherweights model 221 date 1921 at a huge flea market back in April of 2014. My wife had always wanted one, so needless to say, she now has one.
After a little refurbishing, she is now taking it to work and using it during her lunch hour.
Bernadette & mercer50, my apologies for not responding sooner and not thanking you sooner. But I was in a car accident in 2014, and it paralyzed me waist down (& I'm on so much medication for the nerve jolts all thru my legs, under my knees all the way to my toes & back pain). Alot of time, when I get to reading, I doze off. But I want to thank you for your help and comments.
