Stumbled onto this rare beauty at a garage sale. I've heard of this reel, but never saw one up close and personal. It will likely be a long time before seeing another. Pflueger produced this particular reel in 1979. The manual has a 1978 print date.
It was only produced one year. This fact, coupled with the Japanese interest, has made these almost as rare as hen's teeth.
