These were sold as a pair. However one is slightly heavier, slightly darker and has thicker green veining than the other and thus not a true pair. On each one you can see the faint traces of a four part mould. Oddly there is gilding under the veining and showing out to either side, hence the glints.
I bought them a couple of weeks ago at a vide grenier (French car boot sale) and I've been cleaning out rubbish and grime ever since. Can't complain.....they were 'priced to go'.
I like the shape, dimples, iridescence, threading and gilding. If anyone has any ideas on country of origin/maker that would be a bonus, and I'd be grateful, but for now I'm very happy with my purchase.
Love the pair...they would not be exactly the same as they are all handmade...Stunning examples....love them!
Bohemian, Kralik Thread or Pallme Konig.....pinched sides ......

Thank you, Slave-to-glass and BohemianCrazy for troubling to love these vases.
I'd gorgotten these . like the polished pontils . On mine one has no pontil and on the other a snapped of pontil .
Hi ozmarty, I suspect the highlighted veining may turn out to be the only similarity!
perhaps the different base treatments are from different eras??
Though you may be right and several makers.
I much prefer your take on it!!
