I just bought this malachite pyramid from a picker - it wasn't expensive. I've never owned any malachite before and so i don't know anything about it. i thought it was pretty though. not sure what category to put it in...

      Could this be a paperweight?
    4. ho2cultcha ho2cultcha, 11 years ago
it's too big for a paperweight, and it has 4 little feet on it, which makes me think that it's meant to stand alone. thank you everyone for the 'loves' and 'likes'. i was very surprised, so i looked up the values and it is worth a whole lot more than i paid for it - by far. i'm shocked!

i'm amazed how popular this item is! i just thought 'oh, a malachite pyramid.' but looking them up, they are very scarce and expensive at this size and the cutting on this one is particularly good w/ the undercutting of the base and the malachite feet. thank you everyone for opening my eyes to it!
