These are some of the latest ivory and wood additions to my collection. The necklace is zebrano wood with small ivory beads. I love zebrano wood! It has such a beautiful grain pattern!
The two art deco stretch bracelets on the left are ivory and ebony. The wood is really black and you can recognise the typical grain in the wood. I already had one of these before and I posted it here, but now I found its mate.
I m not sure about the stretch bracelet in the middle, but I presume its rose wood. It has small strips of ivory in between.
And in the second picture you can see my ivory elephants. The small one misses some attributes like a tail and saddle, and I still have to attach a bail to it. I found it between some rubbish in a flea market. Its too nice to sit between trash, a real elephant died for it! So it has found a great home with me.
I hope you like these.
Hey Val, these were definately made in Congo. Congo used to be a province of Belgium so lots of people lived there and got back to Belgium when Congo got independent. I put these on all the time. Wood is very comfortable to wear.
