I bought this ashtray years ago...I was told its from the 1930's after King Tuts tomb was found many items were made in the Egyptian style for sale..This is brass with the head of Queen Neferiti in the art deco style ..I just heard 50 more mummy's were found in Egypt!

I had a King Tut brass one from circa 1923, I saw its head sticking out of dirt in a garden and found the ashtray insert also. A great fun piece of Egyptomania. I went to see the director of the Exhibit in Ottawa after the show and gave him my ashtray, something I never sold for all the people who asked me to.
