I came across this vintage outdoor treasure a while back, during a thrift shop outing. Montague fishing rods and reels are the "creme a la creme" for fishing gear amongst anglers. And the older gear like this piece are very sought after by collectors. I couldn't pass this scarce beauty up at it's $8.00 price tag. I'd say it was a steal! =)
I fish as often as I can and use some new but also old gear that I've got from grandfather and my father. They work :-). Never thought about the fact that people collect stuff like this. Will you use it? Let me know what you catch :-).
Aloha Elisabethan, you wouldn't believe the money these vintage/antique rod & reels are fetching. I do plan on using this rod when I find the right reel to get this rig set up. These were made by higher standards back in the day, and made to last. Many thanks for the love! =)
