I can't decide who is the maker? My guesses are: Murano, Czech, or Japanese.

Good wear on the bottom. It is about 9 inches wide, and 3.25 inches tall.....very heavy. If I had to guess a date I am thinking (maybe) 1960's era , but that is a guess. Any ideas on the Maker/age??

It has also been suggested possible *Japanese Glass* ( Hineri, Kamei or Sanyu). Sometimes when I look at it -- I TOO am leaning to older Japanese Art Glass as the maker but just have not found anything with a label for a positive ID. Thanks, any input welcome. It is a quality piece as made very well, and very heavy!!

Found a Piece that is very similar to mine, but has some Silver and Gold Flakes in it. They are saying it is Murano -- But that is *Subject* to argument as there is NO label and they may have just made a educated guess too. BUT the colors and shape do look very much the same......but the Jury is still out since No label for a positive ID on this example I post below.

      So back to square one.....LOL

Just an Update: I did find a similar color but different design here -- and that one has a SANYU LABEL on it. So this is still a mystery, but have found some things similar:

      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/V-LARGE-70s-RETRO-HEAVY-CHUNKY-SANYU-GLASS-ASHTRAY-DISPLAY-BOWL-Japan-/262072909348?hash=item3d04c33e24:g:fCgAAOSw9N1VpKFF

So with a label on it -- may be more concrete relative ..... ?

Well after looking at lots and lots of Japanese glass since this was first posted I would say you are on the money with Sanyu!!

This Japanese glass is calling big money here in Aus now - although this guys stuff has been on the bay for a while.

@Karen -- Thanks so much!! Think this one has been solved then in your opinion, that is Good!! It has been a mystery for a while....LOL

Thank God for Labels on Pieces ( and all those people that left the labels) on things without washing them off....Whew.....LOL
