This is a rather large (almost 7 cm), yet delicate vintage pin. I think that it could be worn as a pendant, too. It is marked “Sterling Silver” in a cartouche and has one more mark that appears to be a butterfly, it is also partially gold plated. Based on the trombone closure, I believe it might be a European piece, dating back to the earlier part of the 1900’s. I love the lines; they almost have an Art Noveau feel. The pearl is a natural pearl, based on the “tooth test” but I really don’t know what the stones are. I don’t believe that they are rhinestones. They are all very clear, have the same colour and are pave set. They sparkle beautifully in the sunlight!
I tried to find out more about this piece but the only possible link I have is a German company called Bek. This company produced sterling silver purses for the American market as well as jewelry. I am, however, not too sure because the image of the “butterfly” so small.
Thanks for looking:)

Thanks, nutsabotas6. I didn't buy it the first time. I went back the next day and had a second look and fell in love with it. Good thing, nobody else did before me - LOL.
