We purchased this loveseat (or settee) from an antique store several years ago and we don't know anything about it. I don't even know whether to call it a loveseat or settee. It is approximately 60 inches long, 30 inches from floor to top and 26 inches wide. I think it has been re-upholstered and I can't find any markings on the wood to indicate where or when it was made. It seems to be a fairly basic design, but I have been searching the internet and I can't find anything like it. Any ideas?

Thank you. I have heard of Biedermeier, but I had never heard of tub chair design. I had to laugh because we've always referred to this piece of furniture as the "bathtub" since we didn't know what else to call it. I did not know there would be a connection between our nickname for it and its design.
