      Sometimes the patent date is stamped onto the base plate. It might be on the silver section near the presser foot, or it might be on the underside of the base plate. See if that lifts up. I'm no sewing machine expert, but I have an antique Singer and that's where the info is on mine.

      Your machine is a National Rotary A2. The serial number should be on or under the bobbin cover plate. Dates are not readily available for these. The same machine was sold by Sears as the Damascus. http://www.tias.com/173/PictPage/1922742827.html
