this item stands approximately 3feet tall and and 1 feet wide all metal with wooden feet age i am unsure of but i think it is a nice item and unusual

I don't think it's for umbrellas... the wooden base would get so stained and would end up rotting. Perhaps a magazine rack? or magazines/newspaper at the bottom basket and mail on the top one?

My first thought was umbrella stand. The only thing is the space between the top pieces are too narrow. Maybe a reproduction something??? Very cute tho.
