MYSTERY!!!
I received this doll from my great grandma, If I am correct, it should date to about 1925. she is a music box, and her head moves to the music. Her face I believe is made of bisque, and 8" high. I believe that her hair is real, and her wedding gown and veil are in great condition. There are no markings on her or her clothing. SHE IS NOT for SALE, I would just like some information.
This is a newer collectible doll meant not to be a toy but to display . They were mass produced during 1980's and 1990's when the market for them stopped buying them . She is Not from 1925 . These dolls were sold to people that loved antique bisque dolls and they were more affordable . The market for them has come to a halt and although some of these collectible dolls were expensive at time they have very little if any value in today's market. Your great Grandma bought this doll when she older or ordered from a catalog .People often forget Grandma's did buy new dolls . Sometimes because it reminded them of one they had and mostly because they loved the face and it gave them joy . Hope she brings you same joy as she did to your Great Grandma :-)
