Early 1900's RPPC of Pacific Coast Lumberjacks, pausing at work for traveling photographer. Hand written note on back reads; 'The method of falling large timber on the Pacific Coast. Starting the under cut to throw the tree, a work platform is built around all large trees, the tree is notched to throw it a general direction, then sawed down.'
