This I believe is an unsigned Libbey tumbler with applied lily pad prunts and internal optic panels. It is 4.75 inches tall and was designed by A. Douglas Nash, circa 1932.
REALLY unusual color shift, from a milk chocolate brown to a purple or dark red, depending on the lighting.
Thanks folks - I've never seen this particular color change before.
Beautiful!!..looovely colour to those prunts...very nice!...:-)
Thanks Penny - without the colorful prunts it's a dishwasher safe drinking glass!
Ernie, love this tumbler... NICE!!
Thanks Lee
Hi Phil, I'm thinking the prunts might have Neodymium in the glass formulation.
Hi VioletOrange. How unusual! I do love glass with weird properties. I wonder, like Phil, if it is neodymium
Vintagefran, I too think it is neodymium.
This piece reminds me of another maker ( not Libbey ) but I can not think of the name right now....just reminds me of it....WHEN I remember LOL
