My mom had this doll sit on her dresser for as long as I could remember. Then a few years back she was passed along to me. She is 7 and 1/2 inches tall, bisque, socks and shoes painted, arms and legs move, eyes open and close. I was told the wig on her was my great aunt's from when she was young. I have no idea how to go about finding out her history or value. Any help would be appreciated. Also how would I clean her? She is currently kept wrapped in a towel. Thanks so much.

I can't make out the marks, what are they?

the marks on the back of her head say 150. 2. then the number 44 seems to be penciled on her. There are no other visible marks that we can see.

Wow! Thanks so much. By looking at that site....would the dress my doll be in not be the original?

I doubt it. It's not that big a thing, most bisque that are found do not have their original clothes. I have a feeling the doll in the link I showed you did not have original clothes either. Check out this page with dolls and original clothes.
