This necklace belongs to a friend of mine. When she saw me wearing my Bengel brickwork necklace (see my post about it), she told me she had one in the same style. She showed it to me and I could confirm she actually owned an Art Deco necklace by brilliant Jakob Bengel - the same model French designer Andrée Putman wore all the time.
My friend never wore it because she thought it was in bad condition and indeed, the enamel was quite worn. So I re-enameled it for her and here it is! I must say I'm pretty happy with the result (and so is my friend!). There is still some loss of chrome in places, but it is still very wearable, dont' you think? :)
Very well done and what a good friend you are to do all that. NICE!
Thank you! It was no hard work for me: it is my pleasure to handle such treasures and give them a new lease of life... Maybe I missed my vocation! ;)
Or a vocation in a past life.....you never know...... :))
So wonderful!
