Not sure how old this is? Or could it be Victorian?? Guess it is a mag rack of sorts.....or for Sewing or knitting?? I am not sure of the wood either, or what some of trim of wood is called. Any info welcomed....as do not know a thing about it. I am guessing maybe 1930's but do not know..
Size:
~ About 25 inches tall
~ About 22 inches long
~ About 13 inches Wide
Thanks
Very nice :).......To hold sheet music for a piano maybe ??
Would say it is an end table with a magazine pocket (rack) probably made after 1955. Looks like either red oak or possibly ash wood with different stains top and bottom. If you look at the table proper (table top) you will notice it is multiple pieces that have been glued together. The grain of each piece runs in opposite directions. That was done for a reason. Wood expands and contracts and shrinks in different directions. The opposing grain direction helps to stabilize each piece.
I agree with fhrjra2. Just looks to be about that age.
