So I was driving home yesterday and I see the Sheffield Historical Society is having it's 3 day weekend yard sale. Of course I had to stop but was disappointed that there really wasn't much of interest. So I went back today and they had all these clear glass pieces on a table. I only had a couple of bucks cash on me so I had to choose one of three pieces I liked. Wish yard sales took debit cards...lol. I picked the cornucopia vase which was perfect with no damage. Well a quick check online shows it is most likely Steuben. However, it's not signed like some of the others online which are smaller, about 6 ". This one is 12" tall and has a very distinctive "ring" to it. Nothing like lead crystal which is high and musical. This one is lower and more of a "bong" tone but just as nice. So now I'm really wanting to go back and get the handled urn which is also appears to be Steuben but it has two nice chips in the top rim. The third piece is a small oval shaped clear vase with an applied clear ribbon wrapped around it. That one was perfect. Hope they're still there tomorrow ! -Mike-
Thanks icollect :)
