Went back to the Sheffield historical society yard sale to pick these up after seeing them yesterday. Today was the last day and I was very pleased to find them still there. The lady said "I knew you'd be back" and I said " Boy, am I glad they're still here !" The handled urn is 9 " tall. It may be Steuben although not marked. I've seen a few in online auctions going for a bit of money. However this one has two chips in the rim so it's not going to be worth as much as an undamaged one. It could be ground back or have an invisible repair which is very expensive. The vase I'm a bit sketchy about. I think it's Steuben as well, but I didn't find anything online to compare it to. It's 7" tall and is entwined with this neat ribbon of glass. It's in perfect condition too ! Seems I always find clear glass at these sales. Last year it was a nice art deco decanter by WMF Germany. http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/90275-vintage-art-deco-silver-collar-decanter
Can't wait till next year ! -Mike-
Hello Mike these are very very beautiful , but these are not steuben . sorry , all of the clear steuben glass was signed.
Hmm...... bummer but they look and measure exactly like the Steuben pieces I saw online. Maybe they are newer versions and had labels. Oh well, they didn't cost a lot but they are of high quality. Wonder who made them then??
Guess the cornucopia vase is suspect too. It's not signed either :(
Still nice looking pieces of glass.
Thanks Nordicman32..... I do have a problem with the words "always" and "never" because there are exceptions. Not all Steuben is signed according to a few sites I've checked out. The early colored deco glass mostly yes. The 30's and on clear pieces are questionable. So I'm still not totally convinced. I think possibly these pieces still are. Maybe a reissues. Can't be 100 percent sure at present. -Mike-
Mike the steuben piece that I have that is clear is from 1937 and is signed.
But these are very beautiful ;)

I searched online and the only thing I keep seeing is this one . It looks exactly like mine but 2 inches taller and number 4315. It's attributed to Steuben.

I have no idea.....but IF I were to guess, you might?? want to check Tiffin Glass as they did clear items as well as colored.
So just throwing that out there......but NOT sure (???????????) What is the base of the big thick one?

Also you might check out *Glass Trophy Urn Vases * to see if you can find something similar for other ???
Thanks Rose :) I did check out other companies Tiffin, Cambridge, Fostoria, Pierpoint (which is a possibility) but none of them have the thick square base and the hand application of the body like my pieces have. They look just like Steuben pieces except for not having the etched style number or the actual "Steuben" signature. It's still a mystery to me. -Mike-
the bigger one could be a Orrefors free form vase ???
