I am not sure what to do with these beads. I like the rather unusual shape of the beads but the necklace has been restrung and it is too short for me to wear. The bracelet is also too short and the beads are connected with a metal wire. I was thinking to turn the two pieces into one necklace but I am not sure if I should try to use a metal wire or rather a clear string. What do you think?

    Thanks for looking:)

Traditionally many of those necklaces were strung on a silver chain; you may want to use small contrasting color glass beads (cobalt blue, green, or black) as spacers to extend the length.

valentino97 and davyd286, thanks so much for your suggestions! I never considered putting spacers between the beads but I think this will be a great and simple solution, especially since it will make the necklace both longer and also protect the beads. I like both metal and black beads and think that it shouldn't be too hard to find something that matches. When I am done, I will show off the finished necklace!
Once again, thanks so much, valentino97 and davyd286:)

I would prefer cotton thread because using metal wire makes a necklace ringgit/stiff (I don't know if I use the right word to show what I mean?). I would not use other color beads to keep it elegant but that's my taste.

Thanks, Agram.m. I agree about the metal wire. I made some necklaces with wire and they don't "flow" properly. I was thinking of using those little links that you can see in the first and last picture but I am not too sure where to get them and how to handle them. I will probaly use a silk thread to re-string the beads and keep thinking about what to use as spacers. I wear a lot of black - so black is an option but I agree with you that one colour keeps it more elegant.

      Once again, thanks a lot:)

Anxious to see the finished project! How is it coming along?

MrsWarren, I haven't had the time yet. I also have to be in the mood to do it, and so far that wasn't the case. I will post a photo when I am done. Thanks for your kind inquiry:)
