It looks like you are off to a good start. Here is what's hot.
Bamboo fly rods - Value of most is $50 to $100, but there are high end rods that bring thousands.
Creels - Maker signed creels are the most desirable, but any creel with lots of leather binding, even early Japanese can bring good money.
Lures - Wooden glass eyed lures are always in demand, you will need "Luckey's" identification book to sort the rare from common lures. Never pass up an old metal spinner, some are rarer than the old wooden lures.
Lure Boxes - Some old wooden boxes can be worth hundreds.
Ice Fishing Baskets/Trapping Baskets - The type used to carry tip ups or traps.
Fishing Spears - Hand forged early spears are always in demand.
Fish Decoys and Duck Decoys - again you will need ID books to separate the common from rare.
Reels - 90% are common $5 reels, but the 10% that are not common are worth knowing how to tell the difference.
Oil Cans - early tin with lead tops and nice graphics are a sure winners.
The list can go on forever, it's a great hobby, study ebay trends and prices and just have fun.

I have an old bamboo rod that says jamaca on the top peace and has a bamboo rapped handle. It is a 6 foot rod. How much could this be worth?

That's why you need a good book like Old Fishing Lures & Tackle by Carl F Luckey. Other than that just Google it or look it up on E-Bay to see what stuff sells for.

I have in my possession a Pfleuger nickel silver fishing reel that is marked Jamaica Bay. It has a leather thumb piece, a bakelite end piece and a steel pivot bearing. There are no model numbers. I have made calls and went on line but was told that there was no information about this reel. I would really like to know if it is rare and how much it would be worth.
