I believe this is a William Adams Ironstone Coffee pot. There are no markings. He did not mark his pieces prior to 1780. Is it 234 years of age? The spatterware is very simple. Can anyone give info about this piece. It sits next to a Nippon vase.

Was sponge ware decoration used on English china? Were coffee pots made in England back in the 18th century? I don’t know, but you could as Steve Birks at thepotteries.org. It’s a great resource for Staffordshire potteryhttp://www.thepotteries.org/potters/adams.htm

Actually Zep, I used to buy from the Hopis & Zunis in the 3 Mesa's area back in the early '70's but never dealt in anything but turquoise & silver stuff. That was the demand market at the time.
