    This clear-rubina gourd-shaped vase is hallmarked for Birmingham, 1901, by William Henry Sparrow (just legible WHS in an hexagonal lozenge). It is ribbed up from the four corners of its polished base. 18.5cm high.

      Fran, I just don't know - I am learning all the time, like you. That's one of the reasons to put it out here - in case someone can put me right. I don't even *know* it's Czech but imagine it must be.
