P.E. Fairgeorge painted in 1906, this was my first eBay Auction on a painting. I was bidding when my computer locked up! I lost the last few seconds to another bidder. I emailed the seller and told them to let me know if high bidder failed to pay, in the mean time High bidder emailed me and said he wanted the frame not the painting. So we split the cost 50/50, I got the painting and he got the frame. Most people find it sad, since the boy has passed on. You can see the Nun holding him and then looking up into the Heavens.

Dave you are killing me here. This is kinda creepy. The nun's tall torso is so stiff, and her eyes rolled up like that she looks, umm scary. Fits something I might pick up :) I can't find anything on this artist, have you?

All I found on him thaqat he was a Monk or a Priest who painted in the late 1800, ealry 1900's. The P.E. is capitol letters but the last name is in script. I think P.E. was his religious name and Fairgeorge was his given name?? A lot of people thinks its creeepy but you have to look at in context. In that day Nuns were always on hand to help the poor. I see the large cross so maybe she was a Nurse or some kind. The Street Urchins are working to deliever Newpapers, so you would call them Newsies back then. Reminds me of the movie "Newsies"! The boy has died that I can see and the others are watching. The Nun is looking up into the Skies, here eyes are more erie in person, they are stark blue. I fell in Love with it the first time I laid eyes on it. It just out of the norm.. Dave
