I found a similar glaze treatment on a Scheurich piece, but the shape of this one is different from any i've seen and there is no trace of a label or mark anywhere. i found this a couple of months ago at the Goodwill near my home in Oakland, CA. this piece is about 8" tall x 6" wide.

      Hmmmmm.....

I know some other companies made items patterns to West German Pottery (WGP), hence the bottom on yours is different than I have seen on WGP. See if I can find anything.

Yup, this might be a Mystery item but then who doesn't like a Good mystery....LOL

HeyHo! Okay, sorry, that was bad...
I have been repeatedly told that ALL WG pottery is marked. But I don't know if that is true yet.
The other Rose is onto something as the bottom doesn't match the top to me. (Can't do another bad joke here...must not...). Let me sniff around too.
      Hope you are well.

i have some unmarked wg pottery. some of it is marked only w/ a lable which can easily come off and get lost too. it could also be italian. fat lava was made in a bunch of european countries too.

.....the bottom is so different than any WGP I have seen, so I am not convinced myself that this is WG.

      I can be wrong too.....LOL

i agree antiquerose. it might be italian or dutch or even american. another piece i found recently has a bottom which doesn't fit anywhere i can figure: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/120973-matte-green-bud-vase--unsigned
