i found this on the street where i live last night. It's in great condition - almost new, but i can't figure out how to raise it. there are so many knobs and levers under it that you practically need a Phd to operate the darn thing! When do you think it was made? any value? i'm going to use it for now, but may sell it in the future.

I love picking up treasures on the streets! I'd suggest 70s. Harter is a big chair maker. Hazard $75 but that is certainly a vague guess.

i found a date on it - 1970. i found some similar ones for a lot of money online. but one thing is what people are asking and another is what people are paying!

i think that this chair was designed by Vincent Cafiero, who worked exclusively for Knoll until 1970, when he opened a freelance design studio in Westchester, NY. This is my speculation from internet research. any other info would be greatly appreciated!
