    Hello All,
This mystery vase has been solved with the diligence of Ozmarty.

We now know this unusual piece comes from what was once Azerbaijan Russia, now as we know they are two separate countries. It has a beautiful pontil, wonderful lines, etc... It is large at 17 1/2" tall. Lighter than it looks at 4 lbs. It bares no label but its design characteristics offer a striking resemblance to Ozmarty's link below. Design by E. Zareh of the Baijab Glass Studio.

One again I offer thanks to Ozmarty.

    With humble regards, Kirk

You have a beautiful Azerbaijan Vase. I love them, have a few. Maybe I can explain how Azerbaijan Glass goes. The Russian glass company prepares for a mass production of one of their established styles. As the vases are produced at the Essie Zaher production facility, each vase is immediately evaluated. If it is straight and even, not lopsided, then it is immediately stamped as an "E ZAREH" edition. All of this happens while the piece is still hot. If it does not meet the criteria for being an E Zareh, it is simply not stamped. Unstamped versions of Russian Glass are called Azerbaijan Glass and are unmarked and unlabeled. Premium pieces, stamped E ZAREH are easily identified. I have seen 2 seemingly identical vases, one stamped, one not. Upon closer inspection you can see the reasons why one is deemed better than the other. Hope this helps.
