This is a very pretty crimped bowl, 3 1/2" high 8" wide (across opening) and the base is 2 1/2" wide. I am not sure how clearly you can see the pattern, but it is a raised pattern of a rose and trellis with a smaller bud rose straying around the bowl. It is actually very detailed. I have once again, looked through all of my books and scanned thousands (literally) of rose patterned glass. It looks to be the same color green that Indiana glass company used for many patterns, but it could be coincidence. Any idea's?
Thank you!
might looks closely for the WG mark; appears to be Westmoreland Glass #1967 Rose and Trellis, c.1960s
Thanks TallCakes - you are the best thing since the Internet!!!! Threw me off when I started looking in your direction though, because I am only seeing this in milk glass. It's actually a pretty defined pattern on the green. Do you see the WG mark? I don't see it on the bowl, but then again, eyes need to be checked. I will check again. THANKSAMILLION!!!!
Hello wksgibson:
Nice piece. We are all fortunate to be in the company of many experts. Sometimes it takes more time to solve a mystery. You and I have been lucky. :-)
