This was my Granddad's mirror which he used for shaving . He passed away in 1935 after a automobile accident. I have no clue as to how long he owned it, and I never thought to ask my Dad before he passed. I have not found any markings on it. It is very heavy and seems to be filled with cement . The overall height is 16 and 3/4 , with the woman's height being 7 and 1/4. The mirror is about 6 by 8. Any help with it's origin's would be appreciated. Thank you very much.
That is gorgeous!!!
It looks just like the base of a lamp I have. My mother told me it was bronze and was from the art nouveau period - that would be early 20s I think.
Thanks Lynn,,it gives me a starting place to look.
