i have a 5-6 of these big, old cleavers. this one is almost 15" long including the handle. the blade is just under 6" wide at the widest end and 9" long. One side is marked with the no. '9' and 'STANDARD SAW WORKS OAKLAND CAL' and the other w/ 'L&I [something i can't read] WHITE BUFFALO, N.Y.' I imagine that the buffalo marks are the maker and the saw works are either the retailer or the sharpener. 9 is probably the size.
