I just bought this at a thrift shop and when checking online to learn more about it, someone else is listing it as Murano. I am so new to glass that I have no idea if this could be Murano. I doubt it because of the cross hatching on the bottom. It is lovely though and definitely hand blown. At first I thought it was a trinket dish but I saw a larger one (10") listed as an ashtray, so I now think it is an individual ashtray.

Can anyone tell me more about it?

It measures 3" across the top
    2" at the highest point

It looks like it may be ALTAGLASS (one word) made in Canada:

Thank you so much for this information. I did a little more digging and I found some info on Chalet Glass, specifically that by Angelo Rossi.
      http://www.rubylane.com/item/782192-Rossix20Glassx20basket/Vintage-signed-Rossi-Glass-cranberry

I also found this listing on etsy where the shopowner is saying it could be Altaglass but she was not sure.
      https://www.etsy.com/listing/104749281/altaglass-small-brides-art-glass-basket?ref=shop_home_active_11

I could not find any images with certain text that showed any Altaglass with the same impressed pattern on the bottom or on the protrusions but I did find it for Chalet.

      https://www.etsy.com/listing/180067868/chalet-made-in-canada-small-green-art?ref=shop_home_active_14

      And this site: http://www.chaletvintageartglass.com/#!__about-chalet

So I am thinking it might be Chalet.

What do you think? Do you still think it could be Altaglass? or do you agree it leans toward Chalet?

I am loving this dig for info. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction

They both did very similar glass for some designs. They are both Canadian Glass Companies, and Yes Deborah has written books on Chalet Glass ( the link you posted about about Chalet Art Glass )

Lol....it is one of them. As a Canadian I get confused with all the similar designs for Art Glass.....but it screamed Canadian to me!

      Thank you for posting.
I have a pair in ice white, same size. I believe they are candle holders.
I was also suggested that they were Italian!
