    Found this cast iron mechanical bank online. No expert here, hopefully it is an original. All mechanism function. Have not been able to find one like it. Lots of repros with coal black face. This one has chocolate face with looks to be appropriate wear. Any info ie maker and approx. age would be appreciated.

      Agree with az. Typical sand paper/ brillo pad wear pattern with residue left on the surface-- touching these "aged" metals usually leaves a lot of the gunk on your hands.

      There are both male and female versions of this and originals I have seen are marked on the back above the screw. The female should be Dinah I think and I am sure the male is marked Jolly Nigger.
