We located these 2 tools in our parent's basement after they passed away and were curious whether or not they would be considered antiques and to get some history on them including what they were used for.
These are hand drills - possibly "Miller Falls" brand - the one with the "T-handle" would be braced against the users' chest, the other one with the handle looks like it's missing its top cap (there was a screw on cap that would top off the hollow handle head which would store additional bits) - google "Miller Falls drills" and you will see some images of some beautifully restored ones.

pictures 1 and 4: these are called breast drills as the flat top allows the operator to lean on it with his chest. the red circular cover looks like a Goodell-Pratt drill that I own.
