It is believed Hospodka (1923-1989) produced a whole range of designs of this type between 1954 and 1964. They remained in production for a very long time. This one has been called a jardinière, and I am comparing three examples of the 'same' vase.
Pic. 1 Taken front on. The proportion between bowl and foot varies. Also the smoothest of colour merges is beside the most abrupt.
Pic. 2 Taken side on. One is wider, in both bowl and foot. than the other.
Pic. 3 Taken from above. One is oval, as is the red/orange, but the other is virtually round.
Pic. 4. As I found it difficult to take a clear image of the three bases I've resorted to drawing round each foot. Each jardinière is behind its own 'footprint'.
As with all of these Hospodka designs, if you get three or more together, you will see the differences that demonstrate they were hand made.
Good idea in the last pic....to trace out the bottoms so you can see the variations!!
EXCELLENT idea !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you antiquerose
