I found this item cleaning out a garage. I have an interest in odd antique
tools. this item is hand forged about 3/16 " flat iron. I thought a double block ice tong but it would not clamp down on ice that would be needed to hold ice. found one like it on line but that person also wanting to know what is it?
It's called a double caliper and there are several references to the blacksmith trade.
