      The second picture, although it is sideways, appears to be John J. Pershing (1860-1948), American general, who led the American Expeditionary Force (AEF) in Europe during World War I (1914-1918)

      The fourth picture appears to be a circa 1910 view looking north from 7th Street on Broadway, Los Angeles noted by the Walter P. Story Building in the background which was built in 1910 and was located at 610 S. Broadway. It appears to be the tallest building on the east side of the street.
