I bought this on ebay a few years ago just because I liked the way it looked.
    It's about 7"tall..maybe 4' wide. It's 1/4"+ thick. It has a ground pontil.
I was going to take it to the Antiques Roadshow last year when I got tickets but illness kept me from attending. Regardless, it's one of my favorite pieces.

I don't know if You will be able to pinpoint it to any particular maker, what I can tell You that it looks to be a modern repro of an ancient design (modern read last 40 years probably, and ancient read 2000 years).

There are a number of air bubbles in the glass. The designs around the body seem to be hand done. The bottom is concave where the pontil is. You may be correct that it could be modern, but it doesn't have that FEEL, if you know what I mean.

I added a few more pics I should have posted the first time. I do appreciate any comments.
