Strolling through the thrift yesterday, I was passing by all the goodies that the thrift tends to bag up. 98% junk but there can be 2% treasure hidden in there.
I found these two scrapbooks, earliest date is 1930 latest 1941. They are napkins from various parties this person went to. But what napkins!! They are all serious works of art. Its amazing.
I took a zillion pictures and barely scratched the surface.
Look at poor pumpkin getting cooked by the witch...moon doesn't like it either...these are party napkins folks!
Just fascinating to me...now what do I do with them? Glued to the disintegrating page.
I am officially obsessed with these. I will post more tomorrow Nuts...big storm coming and it's pitch black. How to I get these off the paper?
Thanks for the loves!
Phil, I totally thought of you when going through these. I get more pictures as the graphics are amazing!
Man even the scrapbook covers are awesome!
Racer I'm planning to post more examples. We are having a massive storm right now so won't be tight. Loud! Kiddos slightly freaked. Hoping basement won't flood...again. Looking for suggestions on what to do with these. The paper on the books is going...frame them?
These are very beautiful!!
If they are really disintegrating you may need to pick the best and either mount them on acid free card or as you say frame them. They would look soooo good...as you say the graphics are fantabulous!
How did that happen? That's so funny! No, I'm digging these the most. I just need to find a way to preserve them and display them. I plan on posting more today
I think the gal who created the scrapbook just wanted to preserve her party memories. I think it is so sweet. But yes, freaking glue.
What are you up to this weekend Eye?
Just fantastic!
